A SDN-Based Load Balancing Algorithm for IoT Traffic Data and Network Performance Evaluation

The Internet of Things (IoT) is constantly evolving as more people utilize internet-connected devices in daily life. As this trend continues, network traffic increases, and communication quality requirements, especially IoT application QoS, become difficult to achieve. This research introduces an SDN-based load-balancing technique address these issues. approach uses upgraded Floyd-Warshall algorithm optimize MQTT client device connectivity. suggested sparse graph-specific simple but effective. Optimization essential for successfully managing networks minimizing the need complicated resource-intensive solutions. solution automates configuration with a centralized controller using SDN. method provides programmability, visibility, real-time resource allocation based on dynamic information. SDN simplifies implementation, improving its effectiveness. study emphasizes volume. focuses broker throughput, packet loss, delays improve performance. authors used Mininet, widespread emulation tool, test method’s efficacy. simulation results show that strategy accomplishes efficient load balancing considerably improves importance solving issues adoption faces. paper Load Balancing Algorithm (LBA) increase efficiency. demonstrate their performance through simulations. advances technology smooth integration into life by enabling resilient scalable systems.
